General

How are divisions formed?

Our skill-ranking algorithm analyzes all of your historical Warzone stats to place you into a division with players of a similar skill level. As time goes on and we host more tournaments with more players, the algorithm improves on its own to better rank teams.

How do kill race tournaments work?

Z League hosts kill race tournaments, here is a breakdown of how they work:

  • Enter as many public Warzone games as you want with your team during your tournament's allotted time period.
  • Every kill you get is 1 point and additional points are awarded based on how well your team places in that game.
  • We take the scores (kills + placement points) of your best games to determine your total score.
  • The teams with the highest scores win the corresponding prizes.

What is the minimum number of games required to play in a Z League Tournament?

Z League requires 100 Rebirth or Battle Royale games in order to enter the Warzone tournaments. Other game modes such as multiplayer and plunder would not count towards this requirement.

Absentee Policy

What if I can't make it to the tournament I registered for?

Plans change, and we get that. However, not showing up to tournaments makes the competition less fun for everyone else in your division. If you can't make it to a tournament you've registered for, unregister before registration closes for the tournament.

If you have 3 no-shows in a 7-day period, you'll only be able to register for one tournament at a time. Once you no longer have 3 no-shows in the past 7 days, your access will be restored to register for as many tournaments as you want!

Streaming & Scoring

Do participants have to stream their gameplay?

You are not required to stream your gameplay. Our live standings are automatically updated throughout the duration of the tournament.

How do I track my score during the tournament?

Z League built a live scoring tracker so you don't have to submit your scores during or after the tournament. You will receive a link to your tournament's live scoring page a few minutes before your tournament begins. Scores will be updated throughout the tournament so you can see exactly how you’re performing compared to the rest of your division.

How does my team earn points?

Our point system is pretty simple. 1 point for every kill and bonus points based on how you place in your games. We will only be counting your best games in terms of total (kills + placement) points to determine the winner. You will be able to track how your team is doing on the real-time scoreboard.

Points per game
  • Each kill is worth 1 point.
  • Teams earn points based on final placement and total kills.
  • Final scores are determined by the sum of your highest scoring games. Depending on
  • the tournament format, this can range from 1 to 4 games.
Placement points
  • 1st = 10 Points
  • 3rd = 8 Points
  • 5th = 6 Points
  • 7th = 4 Points
  • 9th = 2 Points
  • 2nd = 9 Points
  • 4th = 7 Points
  • 6th = 5 Points
  • 8th = 3 Points
  • 10th = 1 Point

What happens in the event of a tie?

In the event of a tie, most kills across teams' top games will be used as the first tie break. The second tie break will be the number of wins across teams' top games. The third tie break will be the fewest number of games played. If teams are still tied, the prize for the position and next position will be split between teams. For clarity, if two teams are tied in p2 after accounting for points, total team kills, wins and number of games played, the prize for p2 and p3 would be split by the teams.

What do I do if I believe my score is incorrect?

Please keep in mind that the scoreboard does not always update instantly. It can take up to 30 minutes after gameplay has ended to update final scores for all players. If you're seeing a scoring error, click the "Open a dispute" button on the live scoreboard and follow the steps to resolve your dispute and update your score. NOTE: The dispute window closes 1 hour after a tournament ends. You will not be able to dispute a score after this time.

Score Disputes

On rare occasions, gameplay data doesn’t get recorded on the scoreboard. Players can provide proof of these missing matches to correct the score.

It will appear 45 minutes into the tournament, and is only visible if you’re signed in.

Dispute submissions close one hour after the tournament end time. After that, all undisputed scores are final.

What do I need to provide in my score dispute?

The following is required for every dispute:

Ensure your match is actually missing.
  • Check that the game mode you played matches the game mode of the tournament.
  • Make sure your match didn’t start before the tournament began, or after it ended.
Proper evidence related to your dispute.
  • Make sure your game ID is visible in all evidence for your missing match.
  • We will not accept evidence that does not directly prove the account registered for the tournament has a missing match.
    Evidence for all teammates.
  • Provide evidence for every team member if you are playing with a team.

What does good evidence look like?

Using these forms of evidence in your submission will reduce the chance of a rejected dispute.

For all games: Video evidence is always good. Send a link to a stream recording / clip of the disputed match with the timestamp of the match results showing the performance & placement of all team members.

For Warzone: A link to the disputed match in COD Tracker, or a screenshot of the missing match in COD Tracker.

I submitted a score dispute. How long until I hear back?

Our team strives to close as soon as possible after the tournament ends. All score disputes will be reviewed within 24 hours of a tournament ending, with an email notice of the final decision being sent to the team member who opened it.

My score dispute was rejected. How do I get it overturned?

In order to close all tournaments & pay out winners quickly, once score disputes are reviewed and closed, the decision is final.

My matches are all correct, but my overall score is wrong. How do I get this fixed?

Please review the scoring breakdown in the streaming & scoring FAQ section to ensure that there is an actual issue with your score. If there is a scoring issue that isn’t related to a missing match, please reach out to contact@zleague.gg.
